WCPA
at the IFAI
The WCPA successfully displayed at
the IFAI Expo in San Diego in October. With many Expo attendees
from the West it was a great opportunity to promote the
association and the benefits of membership. Distributed at the
booth were copies of several issues of Form & Fabric and a
brochure promoting the upcoming WCPA Convention in Reno, Nevada,
March 23-25, 2000. Those that came by the booth were excited to
hear that our Keynote Speaker in Reno would be Attorney Mills
Lane, author, television personality and the referee of the famous
Mike Tyson ear-biting bout.
Many thanks to those members who
helped staff the booth throughout the Expo. Also, thank you to
Canvas Specialty in Los Angeles for providing measuring tapes for
WCPA members visiting the booth.
The IFAI announced a record
attendance in San Diego. The Expo was well attended by companies
from the west as well as around the U.S., Canada and the world.
The 52nd annual Achievement Awards competition at the Expo drew 340
entries from companies in thirteen countries, in thirty different
categories. Submitted photos were judged on complexity,
design, workmanship, uniqueness and function.
There were many winners from the
West including a number of companies who are members of the WCPA.
