Established in 1918, Van Nuys Awning Co., Inc.
is the San Fernando Valley's oldest and largest awning
manufacturer of custom made canvas products. It is also one of the
largest awning
companies in Southern California, with
a 34,000 square foot showroom and factory staffed by over
forty professionals. This year Van
Nuys Awning Co., Inc., a family owned business, is celebrating
its 80th anniversary.
Van
Nuys Awning Co., Inc. is an active member of the Industrial
Fabrics Association International and the Western Canvas Products
Association. Two managers hold "Certified Master Craftsman's"
certificates from the IFAI.
Van
Nuys Awning is a full service company specializing in design,
manufacture and installation
of custom canvas products. Every item
is produced with client specifics in mind. The Garden
Department makes custom umbrellas,
pads, free-standing cabanas and much more. A complete line of
motorized and manual retractable awnings are available.
Top-of-the-line patio furniture is
displayed in the Showroom.
People are welcome to visit the newly
remodeled Factory and Showroom to see, first hand,
the quality and care that goes into
the production of every order. The Showroom contains many
of the products manufactured and sold,
as well as a large display of fabrics available on today's market.
In the factory you can visit the computerized Graphics Department,
the state-of-the-art Welding and Frame Shop and the Production
Department where canvas is patterned, cut and sewn.
Design Professionals can assist
clients in their homes, offices or job sites. They are able to
give expert advice on design, fabric, color selection and project
estimates. Employees in the Installation Department are factory
trained and do all the installations. Quality, service and
guaranteed sales satisfaction are stressed at Van Nuys Awning Co., Inc.
One of the perks of having a business
in southern California is doing work for the local theme parks,
movie studios and celebrities. Van Nuys also enjoys working with
Interior Designers, Graphic Design Companies, Contractors
and Sign Companies. Past projects have included
traveling to Hawaii and Maui to work on resorts and shopping
centers. Van Nuys has
been to Las Vegas to work on the MGM Grand Hotel and the Treasure
Island Resort. Each day brings new and exciting opportunities to
