GLEN RAVEN MILLS
Glen Raven Mills & Dickson S.A. of
Wasquehal, France have merged their outdoor fabric manufacturing and marketing
organizations. As of an agreement signed May 6th, Dickson has
become a wholly-owned subsidiary of
Glen Raven Mills, Inc. More details forthcoming...Robert Hernandez
is marketing rep for the furniture fabric lines in the western
U.S. and Canada. He will be based in the Los Angles area.
Introduces Starboard marine fabric.
THE
ASTRUP COMPANY
Introduces Enlighten, a backlit UV
resistant awning fabric. Introduces Mastershade Shade Screen
System; a suspended blind.
UNITEX
Robert Bonte has been named Unitex
West Division Manager. Jon Workman is Sales Manager for Unitex
West. Both will be based in the Baldwin Park, California office.
Introduces Textilene 80 & 90 solar screen fabrics, available in
96" width. Cool Glo Ultra, an 81" extrusion coated backlit fabric.
Forbo Stamoid in 59", and new 80" width matching Stamoid bindings.
JOHN BOYLE AND COMPANY
Introduces the Triad Wedge Welder. No
smoke or fumes during welding. Features Phifertex Plus, a 100%
woven vinyl coated polyester. Features Benchmark fabric. Works
with matching Tedlar graphic film.
DICKSON ELBERTON
MILLS
Introduces 'Nite-Lite' for backlit and
sign applications. Introduces the Dickson Cleaning Kit for the
awning and boat owner. Introduces Awning Guard 690 Plus, a
protectant for all types of fabrics.
IFAI
IFAI's Expo '98 will be the biggest one yet with projections of 6,500
participants and 400 exhibitors, in over 94,000 square feet of
floor space. The theme is "New Opportunities, NewProducts, New Orleans." IFAI's Expo '98 will be held in
New Orleans from October 8th-10th.

Form and Fabric is sad to report the
passing of Wesselena "Wes" Smyttle, longtime office manager for Goodwin Cole Co.,
Sacramento, California. She was well-known as the assistant to
Robert Cole during his tenure as
president on the IFAI in the mid 1980's. |
