Since 1922, we design, fabricate and install
custom fabric awnings and canopies for residential and
commercial applications. Awning types include pipe frames,
welded frames and retractable awnings and screens; new awnings
and existing awning recovers.
Acme Awning Company was founded in 1922 by
Carl Rawitzer, son of the first president of what is not the
Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI). Ownership
passed to his son (Al Rawitzer), then to a long-term employee
(Ralph Beaver) in 1972. Upon Mr. Beaver's retirement in 1986, Acme
Awning Company was acquired by William Fuller. In 2007,
Colleen & Jack Crowley became the new owners.
